Don't you just love going through your old sketchbooks and finding something that makes you say, "did I draw that?"Depending on the sketch, I certainly do. This is one of them. Sort of. Coloring my work has always been a problem of mine. Not sure why, but I've always had issues getting things right. I'm playing around with a new book and I have to say, this is alot better than anything I've done in the past. I read an article in a design magazine about using photos as brushes in Photoshop. So here's my attempt. Just some random images but the results are....interesting. Updated to fix up some elements and add a few more.

Reading through a book on punk rock, I couldn't help but fall in love with the posters. They were always so gritty, as if to reflect the music. So I decided to try my hand at it using a friend's band. I hope he won't kill me.And if you live in NYC, be sure to check them out. They're a hard rocking band that sound like a combination Alice in Chains and Soundgarden.
